Study:
In these verses from Job, we find a vivid and powerful metaphor of hope and renewal. The tree, even when cut down and seemingly lifeless, still holds potential for new life. Its roots may grow old and its trunk may decay, yet the presence of water – the scent of water – signals a source of revival. This encourages us to remember that even in times of despair or apparent death, God’s sustaining grace is present.
